The Process

01

The Complimentary Consultation

It all starts with a free design consultation in your home. Our design consultant will meet with you to discuss how you’re currently using your space, and more importantly, how you want to use it. 

  • We’ll take precise measurements and pictures and show you different samples.

  • This meeting typically takes 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size and number of spaces.

The Design Collaboration

Based on our conversation, we will create a custom design that meets your needs, your style, and your budget.

  • We will send you a proposal with detailed 3-D renderings of your space, giving you a clear idea of what your new system will look like and the cost. 

  • The initial proposal and renderings will be sent within 2-4 business days. 

  • You will review the design, ask questions, and select the final finishes, accessories, and accents available for your custom solution. 

  • You can make changes to the design until it is perfect for you!

The Approval and Manufacturing

Once your design is final and approved, we’ll send a final proposal followed by an invoice. 

  • We require a 50% deposit to begin manufacturing your materials.

  • Your custom organization solution will be manufactured locally based on the exact measurements of your space.

  • Once your design has been sent to manufacturing, we will let you know the first available installation date and schedule your installation with you. 

  • Manufacturing of your materials usually takes 2-3 weeks.

The Professional Installation

On Installation day, our expert installation team will arrive to install your new system. ​

  • Most installations take one day. If you have a larger space or multiple spaces, we will let you know ahead of time if we anticipate it taking longer. 

  • Our installers will take the utmost care of your space and home, treating it as their own. We handle any surrounding work, like drywall repair and painting, as needed. If we’re removing wire racks, we will dispose of them for you. 

  • After the installation is complete, our installer will walk you through the space, showing you how to adjust any adjustable components and answering any questions. They will thoroughly clean up your new space. 

  • The final 50% payment will be due after installation. 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should I clean up my space before the consultation? 

    • No, in fact, we’d prefer to see your space and how it functions for you on a regular basis. This will help us when designing a space that works for you. 

  • Do you have a showroom? 

    • No, we do not, but our designer will bring color samples and hardware samples to your consultation. 

  • Where are your closets made? ​

    • Our closets are made and cut specifically for the design you finalize in Rock Hill, SC. ​

  • Is Ace Improvements insured? 

    • Yes, we are insured and in compliance with state requirements. We would be more than happy to provide you with proof of insurance if needed. ​

  • Are part of my closets adustable? Can they be changed after theyre installed? 

    • Certain components are adjustable such as shelves and rods. The designer and/or installer will show you those components. Items can be added after the initial install, such as doors, additional shelving, and crown molding, but if thats something you are thinking about adding later, let the designer know ahead of time. ​

  • Are you locally owned or a franchise? 

    • We are a locally owned and operated family business- not a franchise. ​

  • What happens to my wire shelving? 

    • The installer will remove all wire shelving, patch any holes that were created, and dispose of the wire shelving after installation. If you prefer to keep them, you can. That service is included with your cost.​

  • Do you paint? 

    • Yes! Touch-up painting from patching where wire shelves were in included. Getting the whole room painted is not included with your closet cost, but if this is something you want, let us know. We will be happy to give you a quote to paint your space!​
